Staying Healthy in Lockdown

With NSW going into yet another lockdown, it's completely understandable if you're feeling stressed, overwhelmed and anxious. In times like these, it is more important than ever to stay mentally and physically healthy. Here are some great tips for keeping yourself sane during lockdown.

1. Practicing Mindfulness

Mindfulness has been proven to assist in battling anxiety, stress and negative emotions. Being in a state of mindfulness of the present moment will help cultivate your sense of being. Apps like Headspace and Calm provide fantastic guided mindfulness meditations, or you can simply set some time aside in your day to practice mindful breathing.

2. Eat Well

3. Get outside & get moving!

Being locked away for weeks is not only taxing on your mind, but taxing on your body. Push yourself to get outside every day to get moving - whether it be a run around your local area, a walk with a friend or a cycle around the local park. It will work wonders at blowing all those cobwebs away, we promise!

4. Stay connected

While we may be physically distanced, there is no reason why you can't stay connected with your friends and family online or by simply picking up the phone. These are trying times, so don't neglect the importance of your support network. Wines over Zoom or Netflix watching parties are some great ways to socialise from the comfort and safety of your home.

Stay safe & we'll see you on the other side of this hurdle!
