Our client is seeking a BAR CHAMPION ( Head Bartender) for their beautiful bespoke Bar, Restaurant & Distillery in a vibrant inner city location. There is an extensive cocktail list, elevated wine list and an excellent share plate menu to complement the beverage offerings.
However, the real hero is the house distilled Gin selection! Only open for 6 months, this is a real opportunity to join a developing team with immense prospects for career growth.
The Role
We are on the lookout for a passionate and motivated and responsible individual who lives and breathes all things hospitality. This is a hands-on role- we want someone who is not afraid to roll their sleeves up and dive in when necessary. You are someone who will foster a warm relationship with our regulars, is the consummate host, and can motivate and lead this close-knit team. We are looking for a committed hospitality professional – rock star bartenders with a big ego need not apply! This is a family business, and we need a unique individual to become part of our extended family
· You will have at least 3 years mixology experience in a fast paced, cocktail focussed environment.
· Lead and motivate a small team
· Bar team leader or management experience is an advantage
· Invoice management and ordering oversight
· Manage inventory
· Basic rosters
· Assist with cocktail list and menu development
· Quality control
· Door control and hosting
· Set up and pack down of the operation
· Staff training
· Collaborate with the head chef and owners on any other tasks as required
$55,000-$65,000 + super + tips, depending on experience
